Resident Sentiment Research
Measuring community perspectives to guide sustainable destination planning
This project involved the full design, deployment, and analysis of a region-wide resident sentiment survey to understand local attitudes toward tourism, growth, and quality of life. The work included developing a multi-region survey instrument, validating geographic and demographic screening criteria, coordinating partner campaigns, and producing actionable insights for municipal and tourism stakeholders. The resulting dataset supports evidence-based decision-making, identifies priority issues, and strengthens alignment between community expectations and destination development.

Nature-Based Solutions
Linking visitor travel emissions to local ecological restoration
This consulting exercise focused on creating a credible, locally grounded alternative to traditional carbon offsets by designing a nature-based solutions (NbS) program that supports regional ecosystems while enhancing the visitor experience. The work explored how event-related travel emissions could be connected to tangible restoration projects through a seamless user journey embedded in the event-booking process.

Destination Sustainability Strategy
A multi-year roadmap for responsible travel, climate action, and community well-being
This strategy provides a structured roadmap for advancing environmental, socio-cultural, and economic sustainability across a regional destination. Rooted in global standards and emerging best practices, the work involved baseline assessments, stakeholder engagement, gap analysis, and the development of measurable objectives across carbon reduction, circularity, visitor education, and sustainable event practices.
